I'm Brian Stelter. My other Tumblr is The Deadline.
I'm writing a book about morning TV -- about "Today," "G.M.A." and the other morning shows that collectively set the nation's breakfast table every day.
Called "The Top Of The Morning," it's slated for release in 2013.
This Tumblr will be a companion -- part reporter's notebook, part scrapbook, part personal journal.

My short story in Monday’s New York Times:It is exceedingly rare for a new television newscast to be made almost entirely from scratch, as is the case with “CBS This Morning,” which will replace “The Early Show” on Monday morning.
Many of the producers and talent bookers for “CBS This Morning” are new to the network, as are two of the three anchors, Charlie Rose and Gayle King. The anchors will sit in a brand new studio and host new segments, joined by a number of new contributors. The 7 a.m. introduction, the graphics, the musical interludes, the times of the commercial breaks — they are all new, as well.
